SERDANG – Serdang Bees Alumni Football Match was held at UPM Sports Centre Stadium. The match was held in conjunction with UPM 50 Years Golden Jubilee Celebrations (1971-2021). The match involved Serdang Bees A, Serdang Bees B and Vice Chancellor's Choice Team.

Among the guests were UPM Registrar, Muhazam Mansor, Director of Alumni Relations Centre UPM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arba'ie Sujud, Deputy Director of Alumni Relations Centre UPM, Fahmi Azar Mistar, UPM Alumni Association Manager, Haji Wan Ali Wan Ab Rahman, Alumni Relations Centre UPM staff, alumni and UPM students.

According to Muhazam who officiated the match, sports are medium to bridge togetherness. Serdang Bees Football Match was a good programme in bridging the relationship between alumni and alma mater.

“A lot of alumni attended this programme tonight. Not only as spectators but also as players. The spirit of togetherness strengthens the slogan “Kami Bangga Menjadi Alumni UPM". 

This program should be continued in the future in order for us to further strengthen the relationship between alumni and alma mater so that the university's excellence development continues.

Congratulations to the program’s organiser, Alumni Relations Centre UPM for successfully gathering alumni in sports and football to come down and play tonight," he said.

As for the Director of Alumni Relations Centre, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arba'ie Sujud, alumni and alma mater are inseparable. Even though it has been long since you left campus but you are always welcome to give back to the university.

"We see sport as an effective interplay to bring alumni back to the alma mater. The Serdang Bees Alumni Football Match was held for the first time and received good support and cooperation from all alumni.”
